About Dedra Dickens

Dedra Dickens is an entrepreneur, business leader, consultant, author, mentor, and motivator whose life and career reflect more than two decades of determination, leadership, and service to others.

An entrepreneur since 2003, Dedra has built her professional journey around helping businesses operate successfully, creating opportunities for others, and turning ideas into sustainable ventures. Her experience spans multiple industries, including business consulting, tax preparation, home care, healthcare administration, transportation and roadside assistance, nonprofit leadership, and business development.

Dedra is known for being a hands-on leader. She understands that building a successful organization requires more than having a great idea—it requires structure, systems, accountability, consistency, and the willingness to keep learning. Her years of real-world business experience have given her a practical understanding of what it takes to start, manage, rebuild, and grow a business.

One of Dedra's greatest passions is helping other entrepreneurs turn their vision into something real. Through her consulting and mentoring work, she assists aspiring and established business owners with business start-up, operations, home care agency development, Medicaid credentialing, organizational structure, and the everyday challenges that come with entrepreneurship.

Her commitment to service also extends into the community. Dedra founded DAdvantage Enterprise, an organization created to support young adults transitioning out of foster care by connecting them with resources such as safe housing, employment preparation, life-skills education, mentorship, and personal development opportunities.

Dedra is also a published author who uses her personal experiences to encourage others. Her writing reflects many of the same principles that have shaped her life—resilience, faith, personal growth, perseverance, and having the courage to begin again.

While she has accomplished much professionally, Dedra continues to invest in her own growth and education. She believes that leadership requires remaining teachable and that success is not simply measured by the businesses you build, but by the people you help along the way.

At the center of everything Dedra does is a desire to build, serve, teach, encourage, and create opportunities.
